Swing Low, Sweet Cherub

Martin continued his tour of local playgrounds this weekend with a stroll over to a nearby church's small playground. It's just big enough for a little guy like Martin and it sits under some live oaks that provide a ton of shade, so even on a hot September afternoon it's tolerable to be there. The swings are about Martin's size, so he took a swing all by himself. It's hard to tell with his fingers in his mouth, but if you look closely at his eyes, you can see he's smiling.

Martin has been dutifully wearing his Texas Longhorns outfit each Saturday like a good little fan, and so far he's brought the team good luck. People talk about Vince Young being the star of the show, but it's really Martin's wearing of the burnt orange that brings the victories. Martin is the wind beneath UT's wings.
