Flower Power
Last Friday, Martin went with his aunts to the Ladybird Johnson wildflower center. It was a beautiful spring day and because it was nearly the peak of bluebonnet season, there was the obligatory photo shoot. At least this was safer than plopping him in the median of I-35! For those of you not in Texas, Ladybird Johnson, President LB Johnson's wife, decided to beautify as much of Texas as she could by having wildflower seeds planted along the highways. Because of this, it's not uncommon to see babies in the medians with their parents jumping up and own, trying desperately to get that perfect, smiling bluebonnet picture without an 18-wheeler in the background.
