Martin has been growing and developing like crazy the last few weeks. He's been eating a ton and sleeping more than usual too. He hasn't been to the doctor in months so I don't have any official stats to point to, but I can tell that his jeans are a little more snug around his belly these days, and he has to watch his head a little more closely because he's tall enough to bump into a lot. He's also starting to embrace the dreaded terrible twos, and is not afraid to throw a tantrum our way. He has a serious independent streak, and these days everything these days is prefaced with "Me do it!" Me do it is an order, not a suggestion or question. We're trying to keep his bossiness at bay and really work on pleases and thank yous, but Martin is not always interested in our lessons in good manners.

Most of the time he's still his sweet old self. He loves listening to music and has his favorite songs, which he'll request by name. He runs everywhere, and has an incredible amount of energy. He also has a ferocious sweet tooth, which probably helps explain his favorite foods - waffles, french toast, sausage, and tacos. He also really enjoys lollipops, and loves going to the new fancy HEB where they give out lollipops to all little shoppers. It's heaven for a sugar freak like Martin.
