Baked Baby
This weekend was a busy one for us. We had unexpected visitors - Aunt Melissa and Uncle Jeff came in from Houston to escape the clutches of Hurricane Rita. They also brought with them their dog, Maizey, and a friend's dog, Apollo. Between those two and our dog, Abita, we had a pack of small dogs tearing around the house. Martin thought the dogs were wildly entertaining and he especially liked the dog kisses he received on the sly from each of them. The two-legged humans in the house weren't quite as fond of the pack of dingoes, so we escaped to the park to attempt to tire them out a little bit.
It has been very hot here in Austin and on the afternoon we went to the park it was a cool 108. Martin rode along in his SUV stroller, but even the breeze of the brisk walk couldn't cool him off. As Martin faded into a heat induced coma, complete with rosy cheeks and a sweaty, sweaty head, the dogs panted off their energy. Here's a little photo journalism for you, depecting poor Martin's fate that afternoon.

So hot that he can barely move.

Who's that? Will you save me from this heat?

I remember you!

I love you!

Thank you again for allowing me, Jeff, and the dingos come to Austin. We had a great time and we realized that these cute photos of Martin don't even do him complete justice. Sooooo cute!
No, they don't. But that's a pretty stinkin' cute photo sequence!
Agreed...super cute! Can't wait to see that little guy in person again.
